Meet Eldora Betsy Lyngdoh
A poet, artist, sculptor, and educator from Meghalaya, the Land of Clouds, Eldora Betsy Lyngdoh seamlessly blends art and science in her creative expression. With over 14 years of teaching physics, her work reflects structure, discipline, and deep emotional insight.
Internationally awarded and nationally exhibited, Eldora draws inspiration from Khasi philosophy, folklore, and ancestral wisdom, crafting poetry that resonates across cultures.

A Moment of Honor:
Named Rotary Peace Ambassador 2026
On 12 February 2026, at the esteemed Bal Gandharva Sabha Griha, I was deeply honored to win the Rotary Peace – Art Festival Competition 2026 and to be named a Rotary Peace Ambassador. The award was presented by Vijay Raikar, Director – Peace Building & Conflict Prevention (2025–26), and I received a medal, certificate, and memento in recognition of this achievement.
My winning painting portrays a divided Earth—one half reflecting peace and serenity, the other revealing war and destruction—held gently in God’s hand. A dove, heart-shaped red roses symbolizing divine love, and two human shadows touching hands represent compassion, unity, and hope. This honor strengthens my commitment to using art as a powerful voice for peace, kindness, and harmony in our world.
